Back to a good number.😀✔️

I was pretty much wrecked from the trouble with my knee on Thursday and the late night, for me, end of the vestry meeting. I spent most of yesterday sleeping in bed, so all in all I probably woke after more than the stated twelve hours of sound sleep.
The two tasks with the highest priority today are taaking out the trash (I have to cut down more boxes to fit in the bin) and completing the scheduled payments worksheet for September. I'm still recovering from the $1,200 water heater replacement hit on the budget in August. But with a Dec/Jan payoff anticipated I didn't want to add that to the Bank Of America Visa balance. If budgeted spending and saving go as planned I should be debt free by March of 2026. There's only one anticipated hit on the BOA Visa, Progressive insurance, that might delay my debt free day.

The vestry meeting was informative. Pam wsn't there again last night. Thankfully, I had my laptop with me and was able to lend it to Sindy so she could take minutes. I could barely walk for the second day yesterday as my left knee kept painfully giving way threatening to make me fall. Fr. Travis helped me into the parish house for the vestry meeting andScott Johnson helpedout to the Mercury. He also followed me to Buc-EEs and helped me fill the Mercury's bottomless fuel tank, by using my debit card at the pump and "gassing" the fuel ravenous beast.
I had to pee so bad once I got home I knew that if I waited until after fumbling with the key, turning on the lights, and greeting Mr. Mistofellees, I'd end up wetting myself. Instead I stopped at a dark corner on the ramp and peep over the rail and into the lawn. My knee is much better this morning. I hope it stays on that course for the day. It was a long day, it was a log evening (the meeting didn't end until 2015hrs) and despite the long sleep I'm still sitting here nodding off. I'm going back to bed.

There's a vestry meeting this evening.&it will start late, after 1830 hrs. I'm certainly not pleased with the start time. I suggested that vestry metings be moved to Saturday mornings or Sunday afternoons after services at the las meeting. No one else would hear of it. The visit to the clinic in Lake Jackson went well.✔️✔️

My A1C has gone down from 8.6 to 7.2, and my BMI is 27.1 down from close to 4.0. I ddi gain ten pounds which will e lost proportiionnate to my self-disciple to stop eating ice cream.😀

Today will be a busy one, starting with a clinic apointment at 0800hrs and ending with the veteran's meeting at 1800hrs. I'm ambivilant about the clinic appointment, but not enthusiastic about the meeting. The veteran who normally facillitates (chairs) the meeting won't be there which means I'll be "the guy" tonight.
In addition to the appointment and meeting today I'll be attending the vestry meeting at church Thursday night. The rector has already texted that he'll be arriving late as he'll be at his son's soccor practice before the meeting.

I was awakened at 2300hrs by notification of this text from a parishioner.

I'll sign out the LEV kit when I get to church, just in case she wants a visit today. I'll also remind her that she had to have known her condition yesterday afternoon, any hour of which would have been a more appropriate time to send the text. Passive/aggressive people are a fact of life in everyone's life, but I think I have more than my fair share. OOh, OOh! That would make a good T-shirt.
As it turned out Linda didn't want a Eucharist visit. at 1030hrs I'm in the paris hall keeping busy updating blogs and cruising the net. I like to watch the streaming of the Eucharist from St. Thomas Fifth Avenue while waiting for William.
I hear thunder in the distance which could be a precourser to a wet trip to Williams house and then home, or just a storm before the 1030 Eucharist is over.

Except for the fall yesterday morning I'm feeling better, emotionally, and physically, this morning. There's still the matter of the water bill, and sending Garion a check for the phone service. There's quite a few boxes in the front room I have to cut down so they'll fit in the trash bin for pick up on Monday morning. I've decided I have to spend more of my energy on keeping my world in order and less energy in worrying about the looming world order, living under an authoritarion regime🙎‍♂️ devised and installed by Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

I haven't spoken with my brother Don since his return home. I tried calling him yesterday, but he's not ansering his phone.
I just can't help myself. I'm finding it more difficult than I though to ignore the madness of King Trump.

I reently missed a Sunday at church. One of the comments I received in a text was "Some folks asked if you were in jail". "These folks" were most likely Republican Trump supporters, who've no idea of the impact saying such has on me. I now feel less safe going to church. This is in addition to parishioner who on several occassions in the past has reffered to me as "the Democrat", or " my favorite Democrat". He has no way of know that i feel ike he's putting a target on my back. A majority of "folks" I know may dismiss that as hyperbole.

At 1300hrs.-This day is definetly not going as planned. The online portal for paying utility bulls is still not working, so I planned on a trip to city hall with a check. On my way to the shower I tripped and fell in the bathroon. It took about twenty minutes to manuver myself into the bedroom where I could use the trunk at the foot of the bed to assist me in getting off the floor. I hit the back of my head pretty good so the headache is just now subsiding. I've been lying on the couch most of the timme since getting up.

The veteran's meeting went well last night. We had a new guy come in bring the number at last night meetings to four. Two guys have left the group.

Today would normally be my day to play Scrabble, but the tumultious nighht and my brother being discharged from the nursing home means I'll be sitting out this one.
I tried, unsuccessfully yet again, to pay the water bill online. This has been the greeting at the website since the first of the month.

Sidney will be using the Mercury to bring Don home this morning. Planning ahead I went to Kroger after the meeting last night. The brand of coffee I but has gone from $12.00 to $23.00, but the price of Mr. Mistofellees' cat food was on sale. the price Haagen Daz ice cream remains the same. I bought several pints of the Haagen Daz and ate two when I got home, hence the bad glucose number and the "near accident". I'm tryly an ass for doing such, especially after all the lectures I've given to my brother about managing his diet and diabeties.

Since trudging through the grass to watch the installation of the new water heater there has been an infestation of fleas in here.
