A super good number considering I had the usual Tuesday night Whopper with cheese, all the way, and a large order of fries after the veteran's meeting.😊🩺❤️✔️

I decided to follow a mood swing and stay home today instead of going to Java Jive (Scrabble) at church. Auto insurance is coming due in October and so I wanted to play with the numbers to see if I can pay $1500 toward the BOA card it will get charged to instead of paying the $1200 I have been paying in additional payment to the mortgage. It will delay the mortgage pay off by a month, but it will cover the insurance charge and save that much more in interest on the Visa card. My plan is to start 2026 debt free by at least February. If the congress and DJT don't mess with veterans compensation payments that should happen.🤞 If all goes as planned there should be at $36,000 in my checking account by the end of 2026. Here's hoping I'll still be alive to enjoy it by then.🤣

Thunder is approaching in the distance so Mr. M has headed for the bedroom. He hides under the bed during thunderstorms.

Considering the ice cream binge yesterday it's still a bad number, but not as bad as it could be😒🩺❤️.

Bishop Kay Ryan was at church yesterday for confirmations. Twelve persons were either welcomed from other denominations or confirmed for the first time into the Episcopal church. I got to meet with the bishop, as a member of the vestry, and she thanked me for my miistry to veterans with PTSD.
Before church I spoke with Fr. Travis before 0830 Eucharist to discuss my concerns with Linda Gana. As a lay Eucharist visitor I take communion to parishioners who, for justifiable reasons can't make it to Mass on Sunday mornings. Of late I've had the feeling that she's been using this service as a reason to avoid having to come to church. I've told her several times that I'm suppossed to to be requested through the office and she's been treating my visits more like a personal favor. I also reminded Fr. Travis that communion under special circumstance (like a visit by a lay person) is suppossed to be delivered by a team of two. Waiting until the last minute during a parishioner courtesy phone call does not meet that criteria, nor does it comply with standard "safe church practices".

After stressing myself out going over all that LEV stuff I took a six hour nap.
If you get upset that merchants start decorating for Christmas before Halloween, brace yourself. My favorite Pandora radio station is Christmas radio. To fall asleep and have a truly restful nap or night's sleep I listen to all the Christmas music I listened to when I was a child. It's not visions of ugar plums that fill my dreams, but memories of Christmas cards and watching the annual puppet presentation of "The Night Before Christmas" and The Navity Story", sponsored by the Southern New England Telephone Company (SNETCO) on Christmas Eve. My mom would make eggnog and open a box of her favorite ribbon candy. My brothers and I would each get a cup of hot chocolate with a candy cane. If memories like that don't inspire wonderful dreams during naps or a night's sleep, you're paying your analyst way too much.

The budget took another hit yesterday. The agreement when I moved here was that my brother and/or his family would take care of lawn maintenance. Since Carol passed the duty has been the responsibility of my brother, who has consistantly dropped the ball. My brother Don's granddaughter and her husband (whom I suspect is spending through my brother's Social Security like a kid in a candy store) decided to attempt keeping up with the property on their own with the riding mower and a push mower. They did an abismal job, so I called the lawn service that used to do the cutting, edging, and clipping removal. For my portion of the property, the end lot, it's going to run me $90.00 a month. As with most independent service providers in Angleton Marvins is a cash only business, so I had to go to the ATM at Buc-ees to draw $100.00 from my checking account. I'd prefer they have the ability to swip my debit card on their phone. Everytime I have to use cash in this town it takes and additional $8.00 from my account in ATM and bank charges.

This number is a surprise, as it was 105 before going to bed last night.😒❤️🩺

I missed playing Scrabble yesterday. I was up most of Tuesday night going back and forth to the bathroomwith gastrointestonal issues from bothe ends. It's good that I tookout my dentures before bed as I'd hate having them end up in the toilet when I threw up. I'm guessing it was the salad kit past the expiration date that did it, I slept almost all day yesterday. I'm still exhausted and I have a headache today.

There were two adult baptisms at church yesterday and the family of one hosted a celebration meal after the 1030hrs Mass. I didn't stay for that as William wanted to go home to his wife. The bursor didn't show so after bring William home I stopped back at the church to burse with Tom, the vestry person of the day. Bishop Kay Ryan will be at church bext Sunday for confirmation, I've forgotten the numer of confirmans, but two are singers i the choir. Proving,, once again, that one can not sing in an Episcopal choir and resist getting confirmed.😂
