For those so inclined; The Daily Office Morning Prayer

This was the first time I woke. I then returned to see if I could catch up with the lovely dream I was dreaming
It wasn't all that chilly but I just didn't feel like getting out of bed.
This may have something to do with the reluctance to starting my engine this morning.
A clear indication I should avoid tasks requiring fine motor skills today.
Only one was supposed to come out of the bottle. It's nearly 0800hrs. I'm usually up for at least five hours by now, but I didn't get up and go to the bathroom until 0700hrs. The amazing thing is that Mr. Mistofellees did not attempt to wake me at the regular time. He must be getting old. Well, actually, nuetered domestic house cats only have a life expectancy of 9.8 years and he's already thirteen years old. Speaking of old, here's photo of me forty years ago in my mid thirties.
I was working as the tech director for live theater of the music and theater section of the, then Morale Support Activities Division at Ft. Moore, Georgia.
An interesting story about the exit door. When closed it could only be opened by pushing the panic bar from inside the building. There was a post exchange on the other side of the paking lot between the two buildings.  We were rehearsing the musical Godspell for our Easter production. I stopped in the exchange one evening before rehearsals to get a pack of cigarettes and instead of walking to the front of the building, I started knocking on the door so someone would let me in. There had been a sign on the outside side of the door stating it was not an entrance. Someone had removed it without removing the nail that held it in place. I knocked on the door using the palm of my hand and impaled my wrist on the protruding nail.(What can I say, it was dark) Being cautious the artistic director insisted I go to the ER at the hospital on post for a tetnus shot. Explaining how it happened and wanting to promote the theater I told the medic about the nail in the door, and it's dark, blah, blah, blah. He responded , "Godspell, huh? I was in that show in high school." " You sure this isn't stigmata"? After a laugh and more conversation I learned he was also an Episcoplaian. I invited him to attend Mass at St. Mary Magdalene in Columbus. He said he preferred staying on post and going to the Episcopal service at the Indian Head Road Chapel.

I highly recommend using the informerd delivery feature offered by the post office for this reason

I just checked to discover that my box in the cluster box down the street contains only snail mail spam and charity porn. It's nice to be able to check what's in there before braving inclement wearther, sidewalk obstructions and unlevel walking surfaces. (I have dense left hemiplegia whic makes walking on uneven surfaces difficult) I've tripped or stumbled to the ground to the tune of over $750 in lift fees in the past eighteen months. At home I usually fall onto soft furniture surfaces which gives me a opportunity to catch my breath, wait for the pain to subside, and pull myself up by grabbing hold of stable things like a couch. In the street or on a sidewalk I usually end up calling 911 for a lift assist, the cost of which seems to increase wuth every fall.
