There's no Blood Glucose reading this morning as the meter isn't working. I'll go to Walmart after Scrabble and buy new batteries.
I went to China Star in Angleton yesterday for my favorite Cashew Chicken.
The veteran's meting went well yesterday. When I arrived home I had a "mothers voice in my head " moment asking if the coffee maker was turned off. One of the vets who always throws out the grounds and empties thhe remaining cooffee ito a cup to take home was there last night. He also always makes sure the coffee maker is turned off.
I won both games of Scrabble this morning proving once again, that luck has a lot to do with who wins. Granted one needs to possess a pretty extensive vocabulary and have rudimentary spelling skills, but if the right letters aren't on your rack or there's no place to put them on the board your chances of winning are diminished.
I'm not trying to be crude here, but speaking of luck I received an Email notice of the anniversay of the death of an acquintances mother today. On a vacation to Clifornia she went on the Price is Right game show (her favorite)and won the big prize. She died less than a year later. She was lucky enough to go to her grave celebrating her memory of a dream that came true. On that note I think I'll buy a lottery ticket tomorrow.
For those so inclined, The Daily Office Evening Prayer.
