For those so inclined, The Daily Office Morning Prayer Friday after the Seventh Sunday after the Epiphany

I woke after six hours of sound sleep.
The physical therapist is scheduled to be here at 1030hrs. From the looks of the forecast, I don't think we'll be walking to the cluster box today.
This number coming back down.It should be back in range by tomorrow.

For those so inclined, The Daily Office Morning Prayer Thursday after the Seventh Sunday after the Epiphany George Herbert, Priest, 1633
I woke several times between 0330hrs and 500hrs. I kept going back to a really cool dream where I was attending an Apple conference in San FranciscoThe hotel was hosting a cocktail hour and I was walking around with bar snacks in one hand and a gin and tonic in the other having a great time.
The fog means Ronnie and I will be staying in town for breakfast. I'm not driving on SH 288 to Lake Jackson for breakfast at Denny's.
This is the number you get when you celebrate walking to the cluster box with the therrapist to check your mail with a pint of Haagen Daz.

Breakfast with Ronnie was nice for a change. We've been unable to go out to eat for the past three or four Thursdays because of the wintry weather. I was going to gert a haircut this afternoon, but of all the Great Clip locations in Southeast Texas the location in Angleton is unavailable for online check in. That usually means that walk-ins have a wait time just a bit longer than a security checkin ata major airport during holiday travel season. After getting a haircut I was planning on going to the Kroger next door to buy lotery tickets at the customer service center. I'm not real hot to do that either. The last three times I went there I was greeted with a sign that read "customer service desk is temporarily closed. Sorry for the inconvenience. Retail shopping and services in Angleton is sometimes reminiscent of what we were told in grade school and high school what it was like trying to shop in a communist run country like the Soviet Union.

For those so inclined, The Daily Office Morning Prayer Wednesday after the Seventh Sunday after the Epiphany

I woke after seven hours of sound sleep
The temperatures are still nippy in the morning, but they warm up nicely in the afternoon.
I do love starting my day with glucose readings in the designated range.

I'll miss another Scrabble day today as the physical therapist is coming at 1030hrs.
I went online to order from Walmart. I was going to make the trip so I could get cash back at the register and buy some lottery tickets. I'll wait and do that after the first of the month. Today's total will be added to the total balance on my AMEX Gold card. I'll make a "clean-up" payment after the third of March.
It was a relief to see that Social Security made the scheduled deposit to my account today. (that should settle my brother's nerves for a day or two). When checking my account at Truist this morning I noticed that the projected deposits for March will total over eight thousand dollars. That number is truly an error. It reminded me, however, that I need to call human resouces at the county and withraw tyhe five hundred sixty some dollars from my retirement account. I want to add that to the excrow account at Mr. Cooper to cover the shortaage that's bound to show up when Assurant sends the homeowners policy notice in June.

For those so inclined, The Daily Office Morning Prayer Tuesday after the Seventh Sunday after the Epiphany
I woke after eight hours of sound sleep.
The weather is improving only slightly.
I'm loving this number.

I've got to make it to the veteran's meeting tonight. I've missed too many of them. I'll ask Eloy to give me a ride. Even though my driver's license is valid until 2032, I think I may have to stop driving before then. I do fine during daylight hours, when the weather is fair, on familiar routes, and driving slowly. Inclement weather and night driving are getting a bit too risky.
An Oh My! short aimed at Trump on YouTube> And because it will eventually disappear.

The veteran's meeting was productive and tyhere was a new member (female) in attendance, which is a good sign that the number of participants is on the rise.

For those so inclined, The Daily Ofice morning Prayer St. Matthias the Apostle
I woke after fourteen hours of sound sleep. I caught up on the hours I missed on Satuday night.
It looks like the weather is going to give the electric bill a long deserved cost break.
Not a perfect number, but I'll take it.

For those so inclined, The Daily Office Morning Prayer The Seventh Sunday after the Epiphany
I wake after maybe four or five hours of restless sleep.
The weather is miserable this morning.
This is not a good number.
I talked with Tom Long (we're the VPOD/Bursor team next week. He said that if I want to bring William to church next week he'll switch duties with me while go to William's and return him after church.

For those so incined. The Daily Office Morning Prayer Saturday after the Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany
I slept in this morning.
No releif in sight for the electri bill.
Not within the target range.

Yesterday's physical therapy session was brief and light. I told the therapist I was tired as I hadn't slept well Tuesday night. For those so inlined, The Daily Office Evening Prayer

I woke after not being able to go back to sleep after a trip to the bathroom.
This winter may just end up sending me bankrptcy court. (That's a joke son, I say a joke.)
I guess this was expected after eating a Dominos oven baked sandwich after 1700hrs.
The physical therapist will be here for a session at 1030hrs. I don't know if I'm ready for that today, but soldier on!
I
talked with my brother yesterday. He's feeling somewhat trapped and depressed. He says he wants to get back on the road.

For thiose so inclined, The Daily Office MOrning Prayer Thursday after the Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany.
I woke after ten hours of sound sleep.
I can kiss the budgetted amount for the electric bill good-bye this month.
A reasoonable number considering he amount of pizza I ate yesterday.
This is going to raise the water bill this month, but it will be less than replacing frozen, broken pipes.

Ronnie and I will not be going to breakfast this morning. The wind chill temperature is 18° out there. There isn't a breakfast in Angleton worth braving that cold.&I'm sticking with the myth that old skin suffers frostbite like freeze dried coffee crystals.

Reluctant to set the thermostat to a higher temperature this is how I spent most of the morning, bundled up on the couch watching the Fred Flix Channel on YouTube.

For those so inclined, The Daily Office Wednesday after the Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany
I woke after six hours of sound sleep.
The most recent cold front has arrived.
I'm back on track, I guess.
I've a busy day ahead. The physical therapist is coming at 1030hrs. I have to call Wiliam and let him know I'm either the bursor or the VPOD this Sunday. I've also got to contact the other vestry members to see if any will switch off with me on March 2, as I'm also either bursor or VPOD on that day. I don't want William to miss two Sundays in a row.

For those so inclined, The Daily Office Tuesday after the Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany
I woke after eight hours of sound sleep.
The weather is going to play havoc with the electric bill, on Wednesday especially.  I'm not a fan of warm, humid or hot days and nights but it costs a lot less to run the centrtal air than to heat with an electric furnace. (especially when the vents are in the ceiling. For example, "Your Reliant Energy electricity usage for account 61-5 for the week of 02/09-02/15 was 127.7 kWh, costing $25.12, and your projected monthly cost is $209-$218, with 2 days left in the billing cycle."
No comment on this number.

William called yesterday afternoon, so I'll be giving him a ride to church today. I waws awakened by a hungry cat (his bowl was empty) after six hours of interesting (dream-wise) sleep
The weather is starting out a bit chilly.
The result of clam marinara with dumpling pasta before bed.
I truly must stop eating just before going to bed and return to having my last meal of the day before 1600hrs.

The day is starting with a mild heaache which means it's going to be a long day.
At 1058hrs - Sitting in the parish hall by myself while William attends the 1030 service. I'll be taking him home afterward.  The pastries I brought for the early crowd are never a hit with anyone other than Fr. Travis.

On the way here he expressed his desire to have a talk with fr. Travis. As with Cecile, he expressed his dislike of the applause after the choir anthem. It's a sticky situation as it emphasises the difference between "cradle Episcopalians" and those who came to the church from other Protestant (Evangelical) traditions. I mentioned that there're many things different from the church in which I was instructed and confirmed, but that my mission here is to worship as I am able, not to have the congregation conform to me.

For those so inclined, The Daily Office Morning Prayer Saturday after the Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany Thomas Bray, Priest and Missionary, 1730
Wow! I went back to sleep after getting up at 0300hrs, then going to the bathroom.&nnbsp; This was the result.
A warm start to the day in preperation for another cold front
This is the seven day average. I don't know why that came up, but I'll take it.

It's a Saturday so that means the neighborhood will be filled with the constant drone of gas powered lawn mowers, edgers, and leaf blowers. The wind speed is 19 MPH with gusts to 24mph. That makes it difficult for me to take out the trash without the storm door getting yaanked from my hand, the lid to the trash container getting blown from my hand, and the trash from being blown all over the yard as it's dumped into the trash container from the waste baskets and trash from the kitchen. No rain is predicted fortomorro, but the temperature will be in the low 40s at the time I normallly leave for church. I'm waiting on a call from William to see if he'll be up for church in the morning.

I can't find the charging cord for the hand-held vacuum I use to remove the cat fur from the keyboard. I wonder how many hours it would take me to track down all the cords and color code them (or otherwise label them) to match the device to which they belong. Scripture says my lifespan is seventy years, eighty if I'm strong. I'm already seventy six and wondering should I spend any of my precious remaining time tracking down charging cords? The problem was solved by using the usb cord that connects the film scanner to the esktop as a charging cor for the hand vacuum.
