I woke after twelve hours of sound sleep,
At1515hrs-I'm holding the line with FedEx, there's a shipping center a few miles from here, but never mind. As it turns out, upon closer examination of the shipping labels, FEdEx turned the order over to the USPS to deliver the package. At any rate it's hanging on the doorknob waiting for the FedEx driver to pick it up. If it's still there in the morning I'll play 1-800 phone tag with the post office. The moral of the story is that the "government" has become as efficient as corporations thanks to the gazillions of Democrats who stayed on the couch in 2024.ðŸ˜
It looks like the end of Geezer Breakfast. I spoke with Cecile, Ronnnie's wife after church on Sunday. She told me it's getting too dificult for him to wake up and get ready and that he's sleeping what seems like twenty hours a day. I told her that if he's having a good day and she thinks he's up for it to call me. He was also scheduled to have another skin cancer remmoved from his forehead on Monday. He's not been coming to church lately and I've noticed a decline in his ability to maintain attention during conversations. 😞 Maybe I should start going easy on the emojis. But they're fun!&nbs;Afterthought. If I'm the last surviving member of the Geezer Breakfast group I'll probably still go out for breakfast on Thursday mornings. Instead of the traditional bottle of bourbon for the last survivor I'll probably opt for a milk shake at Denny's. Scripture claims we have a lifespan of seventy years, eighty with strength. That gives me a shelf life of four more years. If someone wants me they better be quick I'll be past my expiration date in four years and one day. My freshness date is another matter all together.
Terri is home from wherever it is she goes during the day. She lives most of her life on the outdoor porch and patio with the radio blaring. She also has a hot tub that she resides in for most of the summer. At sixty six years of age it's apparent that she spent most of her sixty six years sun bathing.
