For those so inclined, The Daily Office, Morning Prayer, Saturday after the Third Sunday of Easter
I woke after eight hours of sound sleep. The weather forecast.A happy number on the blood glucose front.Today would be my fathers 105th birthday were he still alive. The last thing I said to him on the phone was "I'm on my way, I'll get there as soon as I can."He was seventy nine and in the hospital. He had surgery to amputate his legs just below the knee as a result of diabetes complications. He died the day after I answered that call.It was the first, last, and only time he called after his last visit to Georgia three years prior.
