For those so inclined, The Daily Office, Morning Prayer Saturday after Trinity Sunday (Proper 6)
I woke after eight hours of sound sleep.
The weather forecast.
A good day starts with a good number.👍😊

Like yesterday, this day starts with a mood swing. I heard from a parishioner who hasn't been to church in like forever. She's had recurring bouts of bronchitis and is scheduled to have another back surgery on the twenty seventh. During her last extended absence from church I would make a home visit and bring her communion after I attended the 0830hrs Mass. She asked that I do so tomorrow, and I agreed after reminding her that she needs to request such through either Father Preston or Father Travis. It will make for a very busy morning as I'm still commited to giving William a ride to and from church for the 1030hrs Mass.

I woke after nine hours of sound sleep.
The weather forecast.
A truly sorry blood glicose reading created by too much ice cream yesterday afternoon.😞😞

Even though the weather forecaste calls for a rainy day, it may well be as accurate as yesterday. I had feared I wouldn't be able to give William a ride to church because of the rain in the forecast. As it turned out, it was a bright sunny day all day.
Guess who's fallen into a deep sleep this morning.

I think My being away from the house for so long on Sndays tires him out. I, myself, am thinking of crashing on the couch.

For thoyse so inclined, The Daily Office, Morning Pray Trinity Sunday

I woke after six hours of sound sleep.
The weather forecast.
Blood sugar is looking good.

i'm currently at Holy Comforter waiting on William. From what I reemember of Fr. Preston's sermon at 08300hrs William should be out any minute. Doc Carpenter tasked Tom Long IV with boursing today. I had told her I would do it if she didn't mind waiting for twenty minutes or so while I take William home. Good old Tom Long IV. I want to stop at HEB on the way home and I'd like to get there bfore the after 1100hrs Methodists and Roman Catholics crowd in with the same idea. Basically the same folks who live by the ten commandments (myself included I guess) don't see the irony in their shopping habits encouraging employers to force their employees to work on the sabbath.

The result of resisting the nagging temptation to order ice cream in the delivery from Walmart the day before yesterday.
It looks as if my brother will want to wait until next week to get his haircut. It's supposed to rain today and tomorrow. There's a scheduled vestry meeting for 1800hrs. There's also a flawsh flood warning in effect until 1900hrs, so we'll see.

I woke around 2200hrs to pee and could barely stand because of the dizzy shakes. I checked my blood sugar and it was 60.
I ate a bowl of Special K with red berries so I could go back to bed. this is the result this morning!😠
It's Java Jive Day at church, otherwise known as Scrabble Day.
Last night's meeting of the veterans in the PTSD group was productive.
As itturns out I won't be going to Scrabble day today. Jimmy and Sydney are have trouble with their vehicles so they'll end up using the one I drive to get Jimmy back and forth to work today.
And then, there's this.
I don't go out in the rain.

The day was interrupted by a long afternoon nap. Bedtime to be determined. But as my brother Jim would always say, good night, God Bless.

The blood glucose number is holding steady in the middle of the target range.😊👍
Hopefully the rain will clear out before tonight's meeting of the veterans meeting at church.
My brother still hasn't made it to the barber or China Star in Lake Jackson. I woke with a sour stomach, so I'm hoping he'll want to go later in the week. Hope rules!

For those so inclined, The Daily Office, MMorning Prayer Monday after Pentecost Columba, Abbot of Iona, 597
I woke after ten hours of sound sleep.
The weather forecast.
Starting the week with a good number.👍😊

I was really "wrecked" yesterday. I attended the 1030hrs service at church and sat on the usual row, fourth from the front on the epistle side. I sat on the aisle because the parish picture was scheduled for after the service. It proved a good place for another reason. I was really tired yesterday and sitting that close to where Fr. Travis would be standing whiile he preached kept me from dritfing off. The service was poorly attended so i wish William had decided to attend. I left right after the service, not staying for the luncheon. When I arrived home the couch was my location and sleep was my state for the next five hours. I'm wondering if the state of exhaustion had anthying to do with a few "spastic spells". I have medication that helps with that, but yesterday my left arm moved uncontrollably for a few seconds at a time. I take Baclofen, which usually manages to decrease the spasms (almost to zero) so I'm guessing yesterday was a fluke because I was so tired..

The rain has just let up.

The thunder was loud enough, and the rain heavy enough for awhile, to send Mr. Mistofellees under the bed. My brother was supposed to get a haircut today, but I've a feeling he isn't wanting to go out again. That will be fine with me as I tend not to drive when it's raining. When I lived in Georgia I was able to call a stylist that would come to the house to cut my hair. That's an advantage to living in a larger city. The number of service providers is great enough that they have to provide special services to remain competative.I just checked with Google and a number of barbers and stylists in Angleton do make house calls. The issue now is to get my brother to pay $50.00 plus tip for a regular haircut.
Well, I just had a talk with my brother and he says he's not up to getting out of the house today

I wo
ke after ten hours of sleep, interrupted twice by Mr. Mistofellees.
The weather forecast.
I had to go through three test strips to get my number this morning. My aim was off and the blood was thick. The number is still good.😊👍😇
I should maybe wait until after my first gulp of coffee - that or drink more water before going to bed.I wonder if that changes the consistancy of blood. I think it must, because the lab tech told me once that consuming more water before tests makes it easier to draw blood.

Because there's only one Mass at church this morning I won't need to leave the house until 0730hrs. Doc Carpenter and I decided to start an early coffee hour at 0900hrs. Last week Fr. Travis told the Bible study group that he'd be willing to meet with them at 0900hrs.
