For those so inclined, The Daily Office, Morning Prayer
I woke after seven hours of sound sleep.
The weather forecast.
This number was bumped up by "stress releaving" ice cream.πŸ˜žπŸ™Ž‍♂️

My brother Don is back in the hospital. This time he's in University of Texas Medical Branch Angleton/Danbury.There will be charges not covered by Medicare that are probaly going to wipe him out financially. Hence the "stress releaving" ice cream splurge yesterday.
I didn't go to the veteran's meeting last night. I was, frankly, too exhausted and in no mood to hear about other's, nor speak about my own, issues last night. I just wanted to go to bed and sleep. In my dreams last night I found myself walking around the streets of downtown Columbus, Georgia as I remember them from the time I lived there. I was walking with someone with whom I nearly had a disasterous relationship. We had a conversation about work and my job performance report.

I woke after six hours of sound sleep.
The weather forecast.
Another happy number day!πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
I'm hoping today will be more productive in my search for the letter I received from the clinic that I need to bring to the post office. The letter explains why I need to have at residence delivery of mail instead of delivery to the "cluster box" down the street.

Today is also meeting day for the veterans assigned to the cuort because of adjustment to civilian life difficulties. There're two new members of the group, which is good for it's chances for survival.

For those so inclined, The Daily Office, Morning Prayer Thursday after the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost

I woke after six hours of sound sleep.
The weather forecast.
Oh, Happy Day!πŸ˜‡πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
Mr.Mistofellees is making it difficult to finish entries in this blog of late. He is consummate house cat, never leaving the house and always following me from to room to room - "assisting" me whenever he feelas it's required.
I no sooner vacuumn his shed fur from the keyboard than he's playing spell-check again.

I finally remembered to send Pam a corrected copy of the June vestry minutes. I forgot to emind her that she needn't make further corrections, if she finds any errors, as that's why we send them out to vestry members well enough before the next meeting so that they can respond with comments or corrections.

At 1520hrs. Well, I fell again. I was walking into the living room by the front door. I ordered lunch from Dominos and wanted to put the cart on the ramp landing for delivery. I fell into the wall on my left side and slid down to the floor. I was able to turn onto all fours and crawl to the couch. With a llot of grunting and groaning I was able to get upright, continue to the bathroom to pee and then put the cart out for the delivery.According to the online tracker I should be stable enough by delivery time to retrieve the cart.

I'm a bit hyperglycemic at the moment (hence the desire for lunch). The small pizza and two sanwiches should last me through Sunday at a cost of about $13.00 a day. Bad Robert! Naughty Robert!😠

For those so inclined, The Daily Office, Morning Prayer Wednesday after the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost

I woke after five hours of sound sleep (couldn't get there until well after midnight).
The weather forecast
No CommentπŸ™Ž‍♂️😞
.The "new guys" in the veteran's group came back to the meeting last night, which is a good sign the group may, again, start to flourish.  On the flip side of that outlook a long time member talked with the facilitator saying he that he was taking a break from the group for a while.
I saw Pam, the vestry secretary last nigh and got caught up on getting the minutes I took out to the vestry members. She mentioned that I had done a great job, which from Pam is an accolade of the highest order.

Today is "Java Jive Day" (Scrabble). I'm going to stay home and catch up on some chores and tasks I've promised muyself I'd get done before the end of July.

It's my turn to be Vestry person of the day today. It's definetly a task I do not look forward to performing.

As it turned out Tom Long (the bursar today) was helpful making the morning much more pleasant than anticipated.

I woke after ten hours of sound sleep.

A wee bit high from the ground beef, dumpling pasta, and diced tomato caserole I ate before bed last night.πŸ™Ž‍♂️

My brother Don fell again while trying to gert out of bed to go to the bathreoom. Jimmy and Sidney couldn't get him back on his fee so they had to casll 911 for a lift assist. He fused abiout not going to the hospital, but after the EMTs hd to call for back up from the fire department the hauled his butt to UTMB/Angleton Hospital where he was diagnosed with a broken tibiaand given orthopedic boot instead of a cast. I'll pray that Jimy and Sidney have patience forthe next few weeks as Don's going to be an impossible patient.
Early to bed tonight as I'm the Vestry person of the day tomorrow, which means it'll be a long day.
