I woke after seven hours of intermittent sleep. The weather forecast. Now this is a number with which I can live!😇😊👍
Sydney and Jimmy are "flipping" the rooom arrangements next door in anticipation of my brother being discharged at the end of the twenty day approval from Veteran's Tricare insurance for the rehab stay at Cypress Woods. Sydney and Jimmy will move into Sydney's childhood bedroom (currently my brother's office) and Don will move into the main (master) bedroom suite when he comes home. They're still looking for an affordable hospital bed and other equipment he'll need. He'll also need more than a three times a week visit from a home asssistant. We'll see how all that goes.
The veteran's meeting is tonight. I plan on making it this week. I was in no mood to listen last week. Actually, I think most members of the group are guarded about what they'll share. That's a good thing, as we're not there to give direct advice or act like professional consolers. The church prepares and provides one meal a week to home bound parishioners and leaves several portions in the fridge for the veterans. The fridge is the first place the facillitator goes to when he arrives. There's always a tasty dessert and fruit of some type. Speaking truthfully I confess that I'll sometimes snatch a dessert, or two.
