at1212hours - I just called New Era Auto for an update on the Mercury. The mechanic should be able to check it out this afternoon and give me an estimate. I also went on line to check the amortization schedule for the morgage at Mr. Cooper. The payment drops from $713 to $422 in January for a savings of $291 a month. If I don't pay extra on the unpid pinciple at the new payment the mortgage pay date would be April of this year. I'd rather just pay it off in January. The original maturity datte was in the year 2034. I hope to live at least a dozen or so years beyond that and I'd like those years to be debt free.

This evening is the "In the Zone" Meeting.

I'll have to get a ride with Eloy again. The number of veterans showing up at the meetings varies from week to week. For most it's a voluntary activity. As participants graduate from the Veteran's Court program they tend to drift away. Only several have stayed on past their graduation. It's important for them to meet with a group that understands what they've experienced.
