For those so inclined, The Daily Office Morning Prayer

I woke at 0600hrs. The outdoor temperature waas/is 63°F.

Yesterday I was planning on going to the kitchen at the parish hall today and cleaning the coffee makers. Today it's a maybe today, maybe tomorrow thingy in my head. I don't want to disturb anything that the school may be doing in the dinning hall today. If I wait until tomorrow I'll have to wait until the market folks clear out of the kitchen. The benefit to that is that after cleaning the makers I can go ahead and set up the coffee service for Sunday morning. I think I'll do that.Breaking a sel-imposed rule of life I read an article in the Washington Post today about a veteran who presented Donald Trump with the Purple Heart he received while in the service.
I'm pretty sure the link has long expired, but I posted the following in the comment section:
"As a Purple Heart recipient, I can only say that it's actions like this, and by other vets, that sting more than any insults hurled across airports by hippies at returning vets from Vietnam. It's why the medals I received are stored in a drawer, and I avoid veteran organizations like Trump avoided service." Actually, I had forgotten that I had transferred them all to an old shoebox before posting my comment.

Since deleting my account on facebook I've cancelled subscriptions to at least half a dozen newspapers and journals. I still have remaining time until the cancelled subscriptions run out. Until today I've been true to my word in ignoring all that is beyond the sphere of my influence.

My younger brother called this morning and during that call I learned I had sent his birthday present to the wrong address. I went online to Amazon and went a message to the seller correcting the mistake. Meanwhile I told my brother he needs to introduce himself to his neighbor at number 72 his street, and let him know that if a food saver vacuum ssytem shows up at his door it was placed there by mistake. Ah, the corrections one must make with age.
