I woke at 0400hrs. The outdoor temperature was 59°f.
For those so inclined, The Daily Office Morning Prayer

It's Geezer Breakfast Day! The breaskfast at Denny's in Lake Jackson is better than the breakfasts served at the two tex-mex restaurants in Angleton, and the service tends to be better. The determining factor today is price. Denny's tends to be more expensive and it's Ronnies turn to pay. I think we should start opting for separate checks. No matter the level of service or time of day Ronnie thinks a five percent tip is extravagant. I'm not going to discuss the current topic of "tipping culture, has it gotten out of hand?" beyond saying thaat it spoils the experience of dinning out when one is with someone who walks through the door looking for reasons not to tip.

I'll also be taking my older brother to the polls today, if he hasn't changed his mind. He votes curbside, which means we stay in the vehicle and the equipment is brought out to him. He qualifies as an eighty-one year old with COPD and congestive heart failure. After voting he wants to go out to lunch and then to the bank and to Kroger so he can cash his lottery tickets and use the winnings to buy more tickets.

As I said my brother leaving the house depends on his mood. He called when I returned from breakfast to say he wants to vote on Monday. Speaking of breakfast I found out today that what I've been saying to Ronnie about one of the servers is the brother of the manager is correct. The manager's name is Matthew. He hired his younger brother Joshua after Joshua graduated from high school. They both hail from Illinois and a family of seventeen children. Needless to say I enjoy crime (detective)shows on television. After several returning visits to grocerywas stores, restaurants, and other retail outlets I like to imagine stories about the people who work at those locations. Joe Orton inspired me when I watched "Prick Up Your Ears."  Orton carried a notepad with him whereever he went to write down what others said or did so that he could later refer to such to authenticity to his writing. OK, the last part of that sentence pretty much comes from my nether regions that depends on what I took away from watching the mmovie.
