i
woke in the middle of the night, going to bed at 1600hrs, after nine hours of sound sleep.😊😴The weather forecast.☀️✔️Starting the week with a good number, even if it's sideways.😊🩺❤️What can I say? It was the middle of the night.
Yesterday was uneventful. I brought William to the 0830hrs Mass. fr. Travis preached from the aisle instead of the pulpit, wich elicited the usual response of disappointment from William during the ride back home. He confessed to being an old man set in his appreciation for the way things, "used to be." I told him that I, likewise am set i my ways. I related to him the comment I received from a parishioner about missing the days when me always wore a coat aned tie to church. Interpeting his comment as being directed to me (I dress Friday casual when going to church), I responded as long as the priest is going to celebrate Mass without a chasuble I'll appear sans coat and tie. Casual is, as casual does. I sit on the aisle end of the fourth pew from the front so I don't mind the preaching from the aisle as I can make eye contact with fr. Travis which makes it easier for me to pay attention.
I'm hoping Marvin will get here to cut the grass today. I didn't get a chance to ask anyone at church to recommend a different service, the office is closed on Monday, and fr. Travis will be at a clergy conference at Camp Allen until Thursday. By then the grass should be higher than my hip if Marvin doesn't get on the job. When I returned to the office after breakfast I was greeted with this screen (frozen).
Several restarts later the computer respoded with, I boldly went where the computer warned against going and manually powered it off and went through the restart process half a dozen times and one near heart attack later I got through to a restart. First things first I went online to the bank and froze my degit card, then on to schedule bill pays for November.Marvin's Landscaping came by and cut the grass!👍😊
