I'm going to miss church on the first Sunday in Adventbecause the annual Thanksgiving cold virus is still lingering, and the Mercury is still in the shop. From the sound of the thunder it's going to be a messy morning. I'll probably watch the Livestream from St. Thomas Fifth Ave.
It will be interesting to see how the delivery from Walmart, scheduled between 0800hrs and 1000hrs will work out.
I live in the little yellow dot between League and Bay Cities. Hopefully, the front will have moved through by 0800hrs. Also, hopefully, the headache and joint pains will have eased by then. I'm still a tiny bit sore from the fall I took on Wednesday. It's reassuring to know that the device provided by the VA functions as it should and that Mr. Mistofellees doesn't attack EMTs when they arrive to pick me up from the floor. Well, at least not this time. He has in the past chased two insurance adjusters, contractors, my cousin Brian, his girlfriend Joy, my neighbor Terri, and Fr. Travis from the house. He can be very ferocious, and at twenty four pounds he's big enough that people take his threatening behavior seriously.

Well, I did it again. I orderd a Vicks two pack of Nyquill and Dayquill from Walmart to deal with the annual Thaanksgiving cold/flu, whatever. I received a text instructing me o have an ID ready to show at delivery. My normal dress around the house is boxer briefs and a T-shirt, so I thought it best to put on my jeans with my wallet in the pocket before the delivery arrived. My legs got twisted in the jeans legs so when I went to stand up I fell. I couldn't get back up so I pressed the button on the "help I've fallen and I can't get up" device the doctors at the VA clinic sent to me and three very nice EMTs showed up to get me up and off the floor. I hesitated at first, trying to get up on my own, but finally decided the $275 chage for a lift assist call to 911 was the way to go. All of this happened, of course, as pay back for the number of times I made fun of that commercial in the 1980s😾🙎♂️

On the verge of a blood sugar collapse at about 2300hrs I checked my BG number.
Shaking and dizzy I had a couple table soons of peanut butter and a glass of whole nilk with a protien shake. That calmed everytghing down so I could get back to sleep, but I ended up with this number when I got up this morning.😾🙎♂️❤️🩺

at 0845hrsJ and M Towingjust hauiled of the Mercury for a stay at New Era Auto Repair in Clute.&nbsdp;The estimated cost of towing is $143.00, which will be charged to the BOA Visa card. I don't have an estimate of te cost of repairs yet, though I'm pretty sure it will mean yet another year before I'm completely debt free. That was supposed to be this year when I was scheduled to pay off the mortgage by next month. As my mother always said, "if it's not one thing it's another."

I responded to a text from Fr. Travis inquiring about my vehicle by saying that I don't think it's still ovreheating and should be fine for going to church tomorrow. I'm hoping, anyway. I hope to be able to give William a ride to church tomorrow, we'll see. I'm still in a state of hesitation about getting the Mercury inspected as oppossed to buying a new/old vehicle.

I placed an order for $153 from Walmart, charged to the Delta card. Most of what I ordered is highly processed and frozen. I used to cook from scatch a lot more than I do now, but it's getting more difficult to do and/or I'm just getting too lazy as I continue on in years.
I took an hour and half nap after breakfast (Jimmy Dean sausage and biscut breakfast bowl). It was nice. I turned on Pandora Radio on the set in the bedroom and selected the Christmas radio station. The screen in my head showed slow motion memories of Christmas past, mostly in King Court and Central Ave in East Hartford. It was comfy and nice. I was thinking that's the way I want to "pass," during a nap filled with comfy dreams, not for a few years, you understand, but when the ineventable happens that would be the ideal way to call it a life.
I'm finding it more difficult to watch the later seasons of MASH. I found the early season one episodes focused more on comical situations. The further on the seasons went the more they seem to focus on the harm and pain of war. Tonight's episode has a scene with Fr. Mulcahey performs a field expediant trachesotomy. As a reciprient of the same procedure in 1969 Even after all these years it hits home. Sleep may not come easy tonight.

Well, I did it. Instead of trying to chase down a repairman for the forty-two-year-old Esdtate washing machine I went on line and ordered a new washer from Lowes. I'll have to spend the rest of the morning clearing a path from the front door to the laundry area and keeping my fingers crossed that the new machine will fit in tyhe space and the hook-up will go smoothly.
The total cost, including a five year service contract, old appliance haul off, installation kit, and taxes, is nearly $800. At that price I better die before it does.

Jimmy Ma, Sidney's husband said he filled the Mercury's coolant with the correct solution yesterday. I haven't checked it out yet, but I imagine the check engine light is still on meaning it still can't be inspected. I talked with my brother yesterday about donating the Mercury to a charity if I'm able to get a new/used vehicle. The title is in his name and I don't want to pay the taxes and fees to transfer it to my name. He agreed.
