The only task I accomplished yesterday were washig dishes and bringing the trash bin from the curb. At least the trash bin is back at the end of the ramp and the lid is closed. It's been raining most of the night and had the lid stayed open the bin would have water a least a foot deep, making it too heavy to move easily.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and the faucets on dribble tonight in hope the outdoor pipe doesn't freeze. The supply pipe from the meter is wraped and insulated. But with most of the underpinning blown to the four corners of the globe since hurricane Berle the portion of the pipe under the house is somewat exposed. 'Tis my fault, 'tis my most grevious fault for not either replacing the vinyl underpinning, or having it replaced with brick underpinning. I had a mason give me an estimate of replacing the vinyl wityh brick and it was $6000 two years ago. I don't want to waste money replacing the vinyl (that gets blown away everytime the wind picks up) and I don't have the money to "brick it in".

I woke after seven hours of restless sleep.π΄πΎThe weather conditions and forecast for today.π♂️☁️☔πΎThis is what happens when they leave fudge out for the veteran's meeting and Robert gives into his sweet tooth desires.πΎπ♂️❤️π©ΊI didn't get to Bucee's yesterday, so I'll go this afternoon after Java Jive Scrabble.

"voteinorout Rep. Rebecca Balint delivered a strong rebuke against the president's alleged control over proceeds from seized Venezuelan oil. She criticized the creation of an "illegal and improper offshore slush fund," arguing it bypasses constitutional authority and congressional oversight. Balint questioned the lack of Republican opposition, stating, "If any Democratic president claimed this kind of maniacal power, you would be enraged." Her remarks highlight concerns over executive overreach and the need for bipartisan accountability."

I'll go to Bucee's and the TDECU ATM this morning for another $300 withdrawel, then go to Texas Gulf Bank for a cashiers check to send to Mr. Cooper tomorrow. I'll send it FEDEX overnight and require that the item receipt be signed. I will be so relieved when the mortgage is paid off. Clearing up the BOA card, and restricting use of the AMEX cards should mean that I'll be debt free by the end of this year. I'll then be able to rewrite my will to a simple instruction of the disposal of the contents of the home and sale of the land and structure. The plan is to have 20% of the sale divided equally between my brothers Bill and Don and his grandchildren. The remainder will go to Holy Comforter HCEC in Angleton. That should be a hefty $5.00.π€£
The veterans meet at the church tonight. I hope Jon-Paul shows up.He's been through a hard patch and coming back to the meetings may mean he's ready to move on.
Bedtime. πΊ

I woke after nine hours of sound sleep.π΄πΊ✔️The current weather conditions and forecast for today.π☀️πΊAnother good number to start the day. πΊπ❤️π©Ί
I finished my version of the vestry meeting minutes Saturday and sent copies to Suz Han (Senior Warden), Fr. Travis (Rector), and Fr. Preston (Parish administrator and assisting priest). The sermon yesterday was,IMHO, a vieled excuse for the actions of the current administration in DC. Prior to the 0830hrs Mass, at the early cofee hour, Eloise Haystack (that my be her last name) discovered I'm a Democrat. I was going through the mail I picked up on my way to church and I showed her the copy of the Atlantic magazine, adding it's a publication that appeals to progressive democrats - then saying, "I'm a Democrat". Unlike the reaction of other parishoners when hearing that, her response was positive, or maybe sarcastic. I'm working on trying to figure out when othes are being such.
I also had a good talk with Jon-Paul yesterday. He was still going on about the same shape of the world and our place in it, but he was sober. I think that his mother was in the room helped on that front.
At 1830hrs-I went to the TDECU ATM at Bucee's and withdrew $300 from the checking account this morning. I'll do the same tomorrow and the take the $600 to Texs Gulf Bank for a $519.14 Cshiers Check to send to Mr. Cooper to pay off the mortgage. It has to arrive before February 2 so I'll pay extra to send it FEDEX overnight. I also tried to use the Walmart gift card that Linda sent me for Christmas. It was declined. I'll not let her know. Using the laptop in the living room does not deter Mr. Mistofellees from wanting attention.
I reverted to a tried and true method of getting my bowels to move (three pints of ice cream), it worked and now te toilet is just as backed up as I was.
I bought two scratch off lottery tickets and two lottery draw tickets at Walmart, Another eight dollars to fund Texas schools and veteran services. The scratch offs were busts, and I'll have to wait until morning to confirm no pay-back from the lottery.
