For those so inclined, The Daily Office, Morning Prayer
I woke after ten or so hours of sound sleep.

I'm hoping the rest of the day goes better than the start. This day started with gastrointestinal issues thhat sent me trotting to the bathroom and then the laundry. The washing machine (Whirlpool high effeciency model#WTW4816FW) drove me crazy to the point that I wrote a scathing review at the Lowe's website. After blowing off steam at the Lowe's website I managed to get all the trash emptied into the bin and the bin to the curb for pick-up. I'm starting the week with empty recepticals sporting newly inserted tash bags, lavender scented. Lavender is supposed to be calming but my brain is still running at full speed ahead. Starting the new year by falling, hurting so bad that I missed church, and a tempermental washing machine are not in my playbook.

Tomorrow is Epiphany, meaning there will be a contemplative Eucharist followed by the burning of the greens. It's all scheduled to happen at the same time as the regular veteran's meeting. That should prove interesting. I hope the vets will accept an invitation to at least stay for the burning of the greens. The vets come from different faith backgrounds so I'm not sure how that will play out. The hot chocolate and cookies will surely bring them to the burning of the greens.
It's almost 1100 hours and my lower track is churning like baking soda in an eighth grade volcano science project.
